Purpose of Federal Elections is to elect Members of Parliament (MPs) to represent Vancouver ridings in the House of Commons in Ottawa. Vancouver is divided into multiple electoral districts (or ridings). Each riding elects one MP using a first-past-the-post system. Federal elections are typically held every four years unless called earlier.
